Stylish, arty, Melbourne is both dynamic and cosmopolitan. Even though it’s not Australia’s capital city, it is in my opinion the cultural capital. Melbourne’s inner city is sometimes described in reference to other cities. There is certainly some European influence and the well-ordered grid and art deco high rises adds a little bit of New York into the mix. But even still, Melbourne is very uniquely Melbourne.

If you are planning a trip to Melbourne or wishing to explore more of your city, I have put together 40 things to do in Melbourne. From bars, cafes, shopping and culture, I truly believe that Melbourne has it all.

For someone who only wears neutrals, I have a lot of pink jackets. I’m not kidding, I literally have 5 pink jackets. I have never been a girly girl at all. In fact, Mum used to dress me in surf sandals, socks and my brother’s old hand-me-downs and I was quite content with that. But there is something about wearing one of my pink jackets that make me feel like such a bad ass.

As for the boots, these are my new favourite things in the world. Impractical? Maybe a little? The Party block heel ankle boot makes them comfortable enough to wear from day to night although, I am not quite sure how many outfits you can wear with mirror boots.

What is Project 333

Project 333 is a minimalist fashion challenge that invites you to dress with 33 items or less for 3 months. These items include clothing, accessories, jewellery, outerwear and shoes. The project was designed by Courtney Carver of ‘Be More With Less’, an inspiring resource for simple and minimalist living.

Why do Project 333?

The general idea is that by sticking with these 33 items you will find yourself with more space and time. Project 333 aims to simplify your life by eliminating the amount of choice you have by only having 33 items that you love, fit well and bring you joy.

Reading about Project 333 from other bloggers and members of the Project 333 community, it seemed many have refined their personal style and have managed to create a capsule wardrobe – one filled with items they adore and are happy to wear every day. View Post

London is one of my favourite cities in the world. If you spend more than a week there, I guarantee you will feel the same way too! Even though London feels like a second home to me, it can also be a bit suffocating. Even if you are just visiting London for a short time, it’s worth leaving the city behind for a day and see what the rest of the UK has to offer. There is so much to do and see only a short train or bus ride away. These five ‘day trips’ take under 2 hours by train and are all well worth leaving London for a short while.

You can’t go past beautiful and affordable art. When you think of affordable you might think Ikea, but affordable doesn’t have to mean mass production. These are some of my favourite artist and artwork that all offer beautiful pieces at a price that won’t break the bank.
